The sound of a Harpist, lends an air of relaxed refinement to that special occasion

EMMA RAMSDALE B&W.JPG (199738 bytes)
Emma Ramsdale; Expert Harpist

The harp is always thought of as the most beautiful of instruments, not just for its soothing sound,
but also for its great visual appeal. A harp at any function lends an air of relaxed refinement.

The harp is a very practical instrument. It is portable, thus lending itself ideally to venues without
a piano, or venues that are slightly different. Emma has played functions in London Zoo and
on Brighton Pier!

The harp is loud enough to create an atmosphere at a reception, without being intrusive.

Emma can also provide a flute and harp duo, (ideal for larger venues and weddings) or a voice and
harp duo, (ideal for cocktail parties, after dinner soirees and at wedding ceremonies.)
Details upon request.

Emma Ramsdale has seven years experience of providing music for a full range of corporate and
private functions. She has played for Royal receptions, private and business dinners, weddings and
cocktail parties. Emma’s repertoire is very extensive and has something for every occasion. If you
have a special request she will try and incorporate it into her repertoire.

a busy solo and orchestral harpist, working with orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra
and English National Opera and broadcasting as a soloist for Classic FM and Radio 3. However, Emma
is equally at home in the west end, playing for the hit musical ‘Oliver’, or on Noel’s House Party (BBC TV).
She has even worked in the pop industry, playing in the band for Martine McCutcheon.

Venues include:- All London’s major hotels, Hampton Court, Banqueting House, Mansion House,
St James Palace, Blenheim Palace, the Royal Albert Hall, Lancaster House, Eastnor Castle and Dover Castle.
She is the resident harpist at the Mayfair Inter-Continental in Mayfair and has played for the Royal Caribbean
Cruise Lines and the Fred Olsen Cruise Lines.
