Maxine is a highly talented and vivacious harpist who began music at the age of 4 and started playing the harp at  9, with the encouragement of her parents,  both members of the Halle Orchestra. She went on to study at Chethams School of Music  under the renowned harpist Elinor Bennett.

From 1989 Maxine has pursued a busy career working with some of the country’s leading symphony and ballet orchestras including the Halle, National Symphony Orchestra, Moscow City Ballet, English National Ballet and London City Ballet. She has also pursued a solo career performing concertos and recitals.


Maxine appears regularly in leading hotels and restaurants around the UK as well as playing for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays, and corporate events. Her repertoire ranges from classical to popular and folk music. 

Maxine also performs with various duos offering a combination of either flute, clarinet or oboe.
